Notion

Notion

Connect ExtractDB to Notion and export AI chat tables as database pages.

Notion Integration

Turn AI chat tables into new pages in your Notion databases — mapped to the properties you already use.

This integration is coming soon in the extension. You can set it up now; export will be available in an upcoming release.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  1. A Notion account with access to the workspace containing your target database.
  2. The ExtractDB extension installed on your browser.
  3. An active ExtractDB license (Notion is a paid integration).

Connection Steps

Create a Notion integration

  1. Go to notion.so/my-integrations.
  2. Click New integration.
  3. Give it a name (e.g., "ExtractDB").
  4. Select the workspace where your databases live.
  5. Under Capabilities, enable Read content and Insert content.
  6. Click Submit and copy the Internal Integration Secret (starts with ntn_ or secret_).

Connect the integration to your database

Notion integrations can only access pages you explicitly share with them.

  1. Open the Notion database you want to export to.
  2. Click (top right) → Connections.
  3. Search for your integration name and add it.
  4. Confirm the integration now appears under Connections.

Configure ExtractDB

  1. Open the ExtractDB extension popup.
  2. Activate your license key if you have not already.
  3. Find the Notion card.
  4. Paste your Integration token into the input field.
  5. Click Connect.

Verify connection

Once connected, you should see a success message. During export, ExtractDB will list databases your integration can access.

Exporting data

Click Export on a chat message

  1. Open a supported AI chat and get a structured response.
  2. Click the ExtractDB button next to the message's Copy button.

Select the detected table

  1. In the export modal, select the table structure from the content tree.
  2. Choose Notion from the destination dropdown.

Pick your database

  1. Select the Database you want to write to from the dropdown.
  2. ExtractDB loads the database properties (columns) automatically.

Map fields and export

  1. Review the auto-mapped fields — match each source field to a Notion property.
  2. Supported property types include Title, Text, Number, Checkbox, Select, Multi-select, Date, Email, URL, and Phone.
  3. Click Export to create one new page per row in your database.

Features

  • Database page creation: Each exported row becomes a new page in your Notion database.
  • Property mapping: Map AI fields to your existing Notion property types.
  • Auto-mapping: Source field names are matched to property names automatically.
  • Batch export: Export multiple rows from a single chat message in one click.

Troubleshooting

  • Database not listed: Make sure you added the integration to that database via Connections in Notion.
  • Invalid token: Copy the full Internal Integration Secret from your integration settings.
  • Property type mismatch: Map text fields to Text or Title properties. Numbers must map to Number properties.
  • Export creates empty pages: Check that field mappings point to the correct properties and that source fields contain data.
  • Integration not found in Connections: Confirm the integration was created in the same workspace as the database.

Privacy: Your Notion integration token is stored locally on your device. ExtractDB communicates directly with Notion's API and only accesses databases you share with the integration.
